We’ve all heard of runaway brides and women backing out at the immediate last minute because of unfortunate wedding jitters. But did you know that these kinds of things happen to men as well?
It’s not just the ladies who catch the jitterbug. According to a news source, a bride in Xinyu, Jiangxi, China was left standing by a road because her groom failed to make an appearance.
The report claimed that she was fully dressed in the wedding gown and she said that she’s waiting for her groom to show up.
She stated that they’re supposed to get married on October 1 (we don’t necessarily know the year) but the man she was supposed to marry was nowhere to be found.
She said that it’s already past their wedding date but she’s still waiting for him. Whether she has finally found her groom is still a mystery, though.
Here is she, looking forlorn among the pedestrians and the daily commuters:
And here she is, being assisted by a kind-hearted soul who held her train to keep it from being dirty:
It was also stated that the woman’s supposed to get married on the National Day of China, which is on October 1.
This is celebrated all over China, Hong Kong, and Macau, where various festivities and concerts happen, causing massive traffic jams.
Don’t you feel sorry for the bride? If you were in the same situation, what would you do?
