In every corner of Manila, you are bound to see a portrait of poverty. Street children by the dozens litter our streets, begging for scraps of food. Many Filipino families live in squalor and parents are often forced to leave their children roaming around unattended.
In order to earn money, these kids beg strangers to give them a bit of spare change to buy food.
One couple shared their experience with a street child who was begging them for money.
Geo Tolentino Ringor and her husband, John Benedict Ringor, met a little boy in Quezon City last December of 2016.
Instead of giving him money, John Benedict asked Geo to buy food from a nearby fast food chain. The boy hurriedly ran away when he was given the food.
A few minutes later, the couple saw the little boy feeding a younger girl who turned out to be his little sister.
They were deeply touched by this generous act which prompted them to take a few photos of the two kids.
