It must’ve been sad no, heartbreaking for Awra to not have his “unkabogable nanay” appear on his grand showdown of the recently-concluded ‘Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids.’
Awra has always been the most-noticed performer there because of his extreme makeovers and outstanding numbers. But what happens when just like a student, on your graduation day, your mom does not appear?
This was what Awra felt when Vice Ganda didn’t appear to watch his final performance in the show that he himself has hugely invested on.
ABS-CBN Entertainment uploaded a video on YouTube that featured the child star being interviewed by talk show host Boy Abunda.
He aired out his sentiments on Vice’s no-show and revealed the reason as to why he was disappointed with his “mom.”
He narrated, “Text po ‘ko ng text sa kanya eh,” Awra began. “Manood ka po ng live, manood ka po ng live.”
He mimicked the gesture of texting with his hands.
“Gusto ko pong makita kung gaano ka ka-proud sa’kin, kapag nanalo po ako o matalo,” Awra continued.
“Ta’s tawag po ako ng tawag, oo lang siya ng oo, oo pupunta ako.”
At this point, you could already see Awra’s change of expression. “Then nung time na, ayaw sagutin ‘yung mga tawag ko ta’s nagtampo na’ko sa kanya kasi ‘di siya pumunta!”
