From what we can gather, these trendy rags owe their popularity to the celebrities who wear them. They are certainly reminiscent of the torn grungy look of the early 90’s.
Ripped, torn, or ragged clothing has been called “homeless chic.” It was popular during the alternative rock scene of yesteryear, but now it seems to have come back in serious force.
In fact, many stores have been selling these fashionable rags lately.
