Weddings are wonderful life events where two families come together in a celebration of love. However, there’s a lot of pressure associated weddings – you don’t want things to go wrong or awkward in these events.
And things got seriously awkward in this following viral video about two newlyweds.
The following video became a trending yet controversial topic when a bunch of disorderly guests attempted to strip the bride in front of her husband!
Why you ask?
Apparently, it was a part of a traditional Chinese wedding game where guests ‘find peanuts’ inside the couple’s bed.
Peanuts symbolize 'having children' in China, so the game is played by guests as a gesture wishing the couple would get a child soon.
The short 58 second clip was posted on the Chinese video-sharing platform, Miaopai, by Chinese netizen 'jin lun fa wang 1209'.
Other netizens noticed the couple’s accents and claimed that they may have come from Henan province, central China.
In the video the newlyweds attempted to hide under their 'lucky' red duvet as the guests piled on in their attempt to strip the bride.
The male guests were aggressive in their attempt to strip the wife of her matching red underwear along with skin-tone tights.
Towards the end, the groom was visibly uncomfortable at how the game was going and requested his guests to stop with their antics.

While the Chinese are known for being very traditional, many of the younger generation have taken the traditional wedding games and introduced more s*xually suggestive ideas into those traditions.
Usually these kinds of games are planned by the friends of the bride and groom.
Such cases happen all the time in China.
In this photo a bridesmaid was literally groped by a male guest while other guests cheered and laughed.
It’s quite the disturbing tradition and many netizens seem to agree. Many other Chinese netizens have shared their negative comments towards this strange practice.
