Most couples, especially unmarried ones, are worried about having a child. Aside from the fact that they are not ready yet due to the lack of finances, they are not yet ready for such a huge responsibility such as taking care of another human being.
For young couples, what matters most is succeeding in life first before having a family of their own.
Despite not wanting to start a family yet, couples still want to enjoy each other’s company and be intimate with each other. As a solution, partners decide to use different methods of contraception. The most popular among these methods is using condoms.
However, condoms are not 100% fail-proof. There are cases wherein the condom rips causing unwanted pregnancy.
Don’t panic though, because there re other ways to avoid getting pregnant without having to use condoms.
Here are a few:
1.Check her menstrual cycle using a calendar. According to experts, it is safe to have intercourse on the 8th and 20th day of her cycle.
2.Use withdrawal method during intercourse. Make sure no amount of sperm should be released inside the female.
3.Take birth control pills to prevent fertilization and unwanted pregnancy.
4.Go to your gynecologist and ask for an Intrauterine Device (IUD) implant. IUDs are surgically implanted in the uterus to prevent the eggs from escaping the ovaries, thus avoiding fertilization upon meeting the sperm. IUDs can last for months or even years. This is useful for women who often forget to take their pills.
5.If the woman disagrees to having an IUD implant, then the man can opt to get sterilized. However, this method is permanent, blocking the sperm from being released during ejaculation.
