Things are heating up in the Britain's Got Talent stage! They're also getting spookier and creepier too.
With their clown costumes and their overall scary vibe, the dance group known as The Next Generation managed to get in the audience and judges' collective faces before blowing everyone away with their incredible moves.
One judge in particular was both impressed and terrified-- Simon Cowell. Yup, the frown that launched a thousand talent searches admitted that he was afraid of clowns! However, his fear didn't take away from the fact that he was also blown away by the group's efforts.
Founder of the group, Ricky Labib, said that the costumes were a way to set the team apart from the hundreds of others in the competition: "We were really keen to try something different. It was important that we set ourselves apart.
"It was about making a statement."
"It (clown outfits) was because there were conversations. We were looking at what we were going to do and we thought, it is known that Simon is petrified of clowns."
"So we thought let's just take it there, he will love it or hate it. It is a family tradition everyone can relate to."
He also revealed that the group started small, in a gym in Northolt, where he was offering ballet, theatre and street dance to anyone who wanted to learn. After a few months, he realized that the team really wanted to perform. Turns out his hunch was right.
